Numerical Analysis of PDEs, Optimization and UQ:
A MAC-MIGS Summer School

University of Edinburgh, June 17th to 20th 2025

Overview

NPDE25 will take place June 17–20, 2025, on the King's Buildings Campus of the University of Edinburgh. It will consist of a series of lectures delivered by experts in the fields of high-dimensional PDEs, scientific machine learning, PDE-constrained optimization, and data assimilation.

Lunch will be provided each day of the summer school. A session of poster presentations will take place on Wednesday, and short research talks will be organized for Thursday afternoon.

Venue

Lecture Location: Joseph Black Building, Theatre 100.

Lunch & Coffee Break Location: James Clerk Maxwell Building, Magnet Cafe.

Registration will begin at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, just outside Lecture Theatre LT100 in the Joseph Black Building.

Conference Dinner

The Conference Dinner will be held at The Rabbit Hole. You can view its location HERE.

We anticipate the set menu will cost approximately £30–£35 per person, excluding drinks and gratuity.
